Dear Charles Barnum Magnet School Community,
It is with great excitement and deep gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of Charles Barnum Magnet School. I am truly honored to serve this incredible community—one that not only supports one another but also serves our nation with strength and commitment. As the proud granddaughter of both a Navy and an Air Force veteran, I hold a deep personal respect for the values and sacrifices of our military families, and I am committed to ensuring that our school continues to be a place where every child and every family feels seen, supported, and celebrated.
Even in my short time here, it is abundantly clear that Charles Barnum is more than just a school—it is a close-knit community filled with dedicated staff, passionate families, and curious, capable students. The warmth I’ve experienced already speaks volumes about the culture of care and collaboration that defines this school. I am honored to join a team that is committed to helping every child grow both socially and academically, and I look forward to building strong relationships as we work together to support all of our students.
With 15 years in education—including experience teaching at both the elementary and middle school levels, serving as an instructional coach, and most recently as a school administrator for the past four years—I have seen firsthand the power of teamwork, innovation, and student-centered learning. I am especially excited to lead a magnet school grounded in curiosity, discovery, and authentic expression. I believe these values are the foundation for inspiring lifelong learners and cultivating the kind of innovation that will shape our shared future.
